MICKY FLANAGAN Extends Autumn West End Run + Announces UK Tour

LIVE NATION IN ASSOCIATION WITH CHRISTIAN KNOWLES PRODUCTIONS AND 4DVD PRESENTS:

MICKY FLANAGAN EXTENDS AUTUMN 2011 WEST END GARRICK THEATRE RUN DUE TO HUGE PUBLIC DEMAND

** Plus 20 new UK ‘Out Out’ tour dates announced**

** Tickets on sale NOW**

Due to an overwhelming public demand, the mighty Micky Flanagan is thrilled to announce his 2011 residency at the Garrick Theatre in London’s West-End this autumn has been extended by another week. Following on from the previously announced dates (26th Sept to 8th October) a further five nights have been added to the ‘Out Out’ show and go on sale this Friday for shows from 10th – 15th October.

Also going on sale from Fri 1st July are 20 brand new UK tour dates. Please see below for tour dates and listings details.

It’s been a great year for Micky. He has been successfully touring his brilliant ‘Out Out’ show around the UK since September 2010 to rave reviews, playing to increasingly bigger venues including four sold out nights at the Hammersmith Apollo in London this spring. By the end of 2011, Micky would’ve performed his ‘Out Out’ show at a staggering 150 nights around the UK.

He’s appeared on The Royal Variety Performance, Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre‟s Roadshow, Have I Got News For You and Celebrity Mastermind (chosen subject... ‘The Boss’ - Bruce Springsteen). He recently brought the house down as part of the all star bill at Channel 4‟s Comedy Gala Live At The O2 alongside the likes of Lee Evans and Michael McIntyre as well as fronting his very own Radio 4 series, What Chance Change? in 2010.

Not a bad achievement for a former Billingsgate Market fish packer and window cleaner from Bethnal Green, now in the unique position of selling out some of the largest and most prestigious theatres around the country.

Tirelessly funny, Micky draws on his East End background as he ruthlessly deconstructs the Cockney myth with razor-sharp observational wit. He tells a comic tale of a working class upbringing, where ‘alphabetti spaghetti’ is a luxury and a bottle of ‘Blue Nun’ the height of sophistication. His star finally exploded on to the comedy circuit a couple of years ago with a brilliantly observed Edinburgh Fringe show about his rise from working-class Herbert to middle-class ponce, and being caught awkwardly between the two. The show brought him well-deserved acclaim with a best newcomer nomination at the if.comedy awards (now the Edinburgh Comedy Awards).

Micky’s most recent TV appearances include: The Royal Variety Performance (BBC ONE), Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow (BBC ONE), Live At The Apollo (BBC ONE), Have I Got News For You (BBC ONE), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC ONE), Mock The Week (BBC Two), Comedy Rocks (ITV1) Ask Rhod Gilbert (BBC ONE), Richard Bacon’s Beer & Pizza Club (ITV4), Edinburgh Fest Comedy Gala (BBC 3), Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4) plus his very own 30 minute special on Comedy Central.

Micky will be releasing his debut DVD (4DVD) this autumn. Pre-orders now from www.amazon.co.uk. Catch Micky as a regular on the new series of Mock The Week currently on Thursday nights BBC2.

So join Micky as he heads ‘up west’ and back out on tour. In fact it’s not just time to go out, it’s time to go ‘Out Out’!
