Multi award-winning Milton Jones, often fondly referred to, mainly by himself, as ‘the weird bloke with the shirts from Mock The Week‟, will be performing a limited eight-night only run of his fantastic new show ‘Lion Whisperer’ at the Assembly Halls from 4th – 11th August at 7.30pm.

Star of BBC1’s Mock The Week and Michael McIntyre‟s Comedy Roadshow, and the current holder of the 2011 Chortle Awards Best Headliner accolade, Milton is proving to be one of the UK’s brightest comedy stars. His witty and punchy one-liners are accessible to all ages, making his shows a big hit for the whole family

Spanning a 20 year career on the UK and international comedy scene, Milton’s impressive award accolades and nominations include: 2011 Chortle Awards Best Headliner - Winner, Time Out Best Comedy Award - Winner 2003, Sony Award Winner Bronze– 2000, British Comedy Award – Nomination 1998, Perrier Award – Nomination 1997 & Perrier Best Newcomer – Winner 1996.

As well as sell-out UK tours and international festival appearances, Milton has starred in countless TV and radio shows. These include eight series of his very own Sony and British Comedy Award winning Radio 4 series The Very World Of Milton Jones and Another Case Of Milton Jones, with the latter having just been nominated for a 2011 Writers Guild Award. A further ninth series of Another Case Of Milton Jones will be broadcast on Radio 4 this summer.

Milton’s most recent TV appearances include: Mock The Week (BBC2), Lee Mack‟s All Star Cast (BBC1) and Michael McIntyre‟s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1).
