THE WANTED - New Single GLAD YOU CAME Out Today!

No 1 boyband, The Wanted come back hard with the first single from their second album.  Available from July 10th, Glad You Came is the latest offering from the five piece group that became one of the breakthrough acts of 2010.

“When we first heard Glad You Came we just knew it had to be the first single from the new album. We all felt it was a new, refreshing sound and a perfect song for the summer which really gets you in the mood for a party,” says Tom.

Written by Steve Mac, Wayne Hector and Ed Drewitt and produced by Steve Mac, this song brings a harder, club-influenced sound to the table for Jay, Max, Nathan, Siva and Tom. A dance floor filler, with a heavy bassline combined with the boy’s rock vocals, this track will have you raving from London to Ibiza this summer. And with the new dancier sound, it’s only apt that the boys get to film the video in Ibiza. A remix by Italian house DJ Alex Gaudino is set to give the boys their first big club anthem.

The Wanted boys burst into our lives and the charts last summer, with their incredible 2011 BRIT nominated debut single, All Time Low, storming straight into the number one spot. Followed by number two hit Heart Vacancy, they have quickly built up a huge fanbase. Their self-titled debut album raced into the top five, and they have had over an incredible 30 million plays of their videos on YouTube. In March the boys were given the honour of releasing the official Comic Relief single for Red Nose Day. The single Gold Forever became their third top five single.

Earlier this year the boys performed their first headline tour which had rave reviews from the press with The Times, Evening Standard and News Of The World giving the shows 4 stars.

Proof, if ever it was needed, that The Wanted are definitely not taking any prisoners when it comes to being the hottest new pop group in the UK.
