ABOUT BILL Starring Mamma Mia's KIM ISMAY To Get West End Premiere



About Bill, a one-woman one-act musical about one man, starring West End ‘Mama Mia’ leading actress Kim Ismay, is to get its world premiere at the Landor Theatre from Tuesday 15th November - Sunday 20th November. 

About Bill follows Bill’s life from 1930's Blackpool to 1990's London, and features both the ladies he meets who love him and those who hate him. All are touched by him. Bill infuriates, charms, redeems himself, then ruins it all. Bill is a jazz man, Bill is the boy with a horn. And how.

Kim Ismay is currently starring as Tanya in ‘Mama Mia’ at the Prince of Wales Theatre, a role she previously played for three years to critical acclaim at both the Prince of Wales and the Prince Edward theatres. She also recently appeared as Baroness Bomburst in the UK tour of ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Matthew Strachan (Music & Lyrics) is best known as the composer of the multi award-winning theme to the TV quiz show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ which has accompanied the game the world over to more than 100 countries. His wife, Bernie Gaughan (Book) has had several novels published under the name of Bernadette Strachan. She is currently working on her seventh. Her sixth novel, ‘Why Do We Have To Live With Men? was published by Little, Brown in 2009.Their first stage musical, ‘Next Door’s Baby’ made its debut at the Orange TreeTheatre, Richmond in 2008, starring Louise Gold. Their second, ‘Silk’ was workshopped for the Orange Tree Theatre in 2009, starring David Burt and Rosalie Craig.
