The Queen of Latin Pop, Gloria Estefan releases her new Summer Smash single ‘Wepa’ (on Crescent Moon Records) – available on Itunes.com/Wepa on August 1st and produced by Pharrell Williams. The single is the first to be taken from her uplifting new album Miss Little Havana her first English-language album since 2004’s Unwrapped.

Neptunes mega-producer Pharrell Williams has worked with everyone from Madonna to Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani. He has produced and is co-writer of Gloria’s new album Miss Little Havana – due later this year. The album is a high energy and dance orientated masterpiece akin to the sound of her early sound of Miami Sound Machine.

“I think we’ve got no sex, but a new baby between Pharrell and I”, joked Estefan. “And I am really excited for it to come out! It's truly been a magical experience and a wonderfully natural process."

With over 90 million worldwide records sales, Gloria Estefan is the most successful crossover artist in the history of pop music. In 1984 the number one hit ‘Dr.Beat’ began a 22 year run of non-stop hits for Gloria and was sampled by Mylo on the dance smash hit ‘Doctor Pressure’ which hit the Top 3 in September 2005.

Gloria paved the way commercially for a new generation of Latin Music stars including; Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez. She penned the Jennifer Lopez global dance smash ‘Let’s Get Loud’ and co-wrote Shakira’s world-wide hit ‘Whenever Wherever’

Gloria Estefan’s illustrious career has included recording the official theme for the 1996 Summer Olympics and has won seven Grammy awards. Gloria also played opposite Meryl Streep in ‘Music Of The Heart’, and received an Academy Award nomination for the movie’s title song, which she recorded with N’Sync.

In April this year – Gloria received Billboard’s ‘Spirit Of Hope Award’ for her philanthropic work through her Gloria Estefan Foundation and many other projects she has personally taken on. The foundation helps abused children, raises funds for their health-related causes and provided scholarships to college students.

Gloria has also helped out with X Factor auditions in Florida for Simon Cowell’s upcoming show in America.
