LADY GAGA, COLDPLAY, MICHAEL BUBLE, JLS & More To Play Children In Need Manchester Concert Organised By GARY BARLOW


Children in Need rocks Manchester
as Gary Barlow organises a
one-off special concert

BBC Children in Need is excited to announce that Gary Barlow will be once again bringing some of the biggest and best names from the music industry together in a one-off concert that will help change young lives across the UK.

The world-class line-up being assembled so far includes:

Michael Buble
Coldplay
Elbow
JLS
Lady Gaga
Hugh Laurie
James Morrison
N Dubz
Snow Patrol
Ed Sheeran

Further names will be confirmed on the bill in coming weeks.

The concert, taking place on Thursday November 17th at the M.E.N. Arena, will be hosted by Fearne Cotton, Chris Moyles and David Tennant.  As well as being broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD between 8pm and 10pm, the event will also simulcast on BBC Radio 1.

The evening will contain surprise guests and Appeal Films of the work BBC Children in Need does with disadvantaged children in the UK, as well as the spectacular billed line-up. There will also be some never-before seen surprise collaborations in honour of the event.

Gary Barlow says I’m so thrilled that these incredible artists are giving their time for such a special charity that is very close to my heart. I can’t wait to see it all come together on November 17th, there are still some great acts we're keeping up our sleeve to announce in the coming weeks and who knows, I might even sing a little something on the night too.”

Host Chris Moyles says “It's an amazing line up and great that it's in the north of England. Handy for Gary and I to go visit our mums!

BBC Children in Need CEO David Ramsden says With Gary’s incredible support we are going to be able to change thousands of young lives right here in the UK.  He has put together an amazing line-up for an unforgettable evening which will raise lots of money for disadvantaged children who desperately need our help.

The concert will fall in Children in Need’s busiest week of the year with thousands of fundraising events up and down the country a host of BBC programmes rallying round to do their bit make this year’s appeal the biggest ever.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 16th September and are priced £95, £85, £75, £65 and £55.
