Has he or hasn't he? DAVID BOWIE denies HEROES: THE MUSICAL permission

We reported yesterday that there is going to be a new musical containing 20 songs from David Bowie called Heroes: The Musical, due to be staged at the O2 in March next year.

But today, NME have reported that Bowie's official spokesperson has been saying there has been no negotiations with the shows creator Deep Singh.

The Statement reads "Neither the David Bowie Organisation, nor its co-publishers EMI Music and Chrysalis, has issued a license for this performance at the O2. There are no negotiations pending for a long running musical featuring the music of Mr. Bowie"
