Back by public demand to coincide with this year’s 75th anniversary of its author, Rudyard Kipling’s death. In 2005 BSC commissioned well-known children’s playwright Stuart Paterson to adapt Kipling’s 100 year old classic tale with a brand new score from BB Cooper (music) and Barb Jungr (lyrics).

Top animal expert Peter Elliot has created the animal movement in the play. He is one of the world’s foremost experts on this subject and has played monkeys himself in many films including ‘Greystoke’, ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ and ‘Congo’.

The Jungle Book has a hugely talented and energetic acting company of ten and is directed by BSC’s Actor/Manager, Neal Foster, with designs by Jackie Trousdale.

It tells the exciting story of Mowgli, a young boy who is raised in the jungle by a family of wolves.
When Shere Khan the tiger swears to kill the child, Baloo, the bear, and Bagheera, the panther, agree to take the boy to the man village for his safety. But the jungle holds dangers and surprises for them all and Mowgli’s adventure has just begun!
