LOUISE DEARMAN to star as Eve & EastEnders’ AARON SIDWELL is Ham in CHILDREN OF EDEN Concert

CHILDREN OF EDEN
Louise Dearman to star as Eve
EastEnders’ Aaron Sidwell is Ham
in Children of Eden Concert

West End star Louise Dearman - best know for starring as Galinda in Wicked - and Aaron Sidwell - Stephen Beale in EastEnders - are the latest names added to the glittering cast of the Biblical-inspired musical Children of Eden, by Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz and John Caird, which is being revived in the West End for one night only in a spectacular star-studded charity gala at the Prince of Wales Theatre on Sunday 29 January.

They will appear alongside  the previously announced Russell Grant, Gareth Gates, Kerry Ellis, Oliver Thornton, John Wilding, Anton Stephans and Brenda Edwards.

Louise Dearman will sing the role of Eve opposite Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical’s Oliver Thornton as Adam. Her other previous starring roles include: Eva Peron in Evita (National tour), Grizabella in Cats (Cyprus), Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls (National tour), Mimi in Guys and Dolls (Victoria Palace Theatre), Lucy Harris in Jekyll and Hyde (National tour), The Narrator in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (National tour), Jan in Grease (National tour and Victoria Palace Theatre), and Debbie in Debbie does Dallas (Edinburgh festival).

Aaron Sidwell got his first TV acting role on EastEnders, but he worked on stage prior to his stint on the soap. He was also a member of All Saints Choir. Aaron has just finished starring in a new musical, The Prodigals, along side X Factor's Lucie Jones.

Children of Eden will be performed by a company of 75. The concert is being staged to raise awareness of the chronic and debilitating condition, Crohn’s disease and all proceeds will be donated to Crohn’s and Colitis UK.

Children of Eden had its world premiere at the Prince Edward Theatre on January 8, 1991. It’s a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and faith. Freely based on the story of Genesis, Children of Eden is a frank, heartfelt and often humorous examination of the age-old conflict between parents and children. The show delivers a bittersweet but inspiring message: that the hardest part of love is letting go.

The concert will be directed by Drew Baker.
Musical Supervision and Direction by James Draisey.
Set and Lighting Design by Ben Rogers.
Produced byTony Green in association with Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment.
