DIRTY DANCING THE MUSICAL extends national tour to summer 2013

DIRTY DANCING

THE SMASH HIT MUSICAL,
CONTINUES ITS RECORD-BREAKING SUCCESS
WITH AN EXTENSION OF ITS FIRST EVER NATIONAL TOUR

The producers of the First Ever National Tour of Dirty Dancing are delighted to announce five new cities, now booking through to the summer of 2013.

Since the UK tour opened in Bristol on 1 September 2011, demand for tickets has been phenomenal, smashing box office records across the country and playing to packed houses in every city it visits.

The producers of Dirty Dancing said:

“We are delighted and proud to announce an extension to the national tour, after such incredible demand to date. It has been wonderful to see audiences across the country embracing the show with the same passion and support that it received in the West End. As Dirty Dancing enters another exciting new stage in its UK journey, it shows no signs of slowing down.”

The first ever UK tour opened in Bristol in September 2011, and has since broken three box office records, making it one of the most successful tours in UK history. It is currently booking through to January, and tickets in high demand.

Dirty Dancing played for five triumphant years at London’s Aldwych Theatre, breaking all box office records with advanced ticket sales of over £15 million, which made it the fastest ever selling West End show. It played to over 1 million people, receiving nightly standing ovations on a nightly basis.
