JOSIE GIBSON and MATT EVERS to star in new comedy 'Up4aMeet?' at London's Waterloo East Theatre

TV STAR JOSIE GIBSON TO MAKE LONDON ACTING DEBUT IN DATING COMEDY ‘Up4aMeet?’

TV star and Big Brother winner JOSIE GIBSON is making her acting debut by treading the boards in a comedy.

Josie will be supporting Dancing on Ice’s Matt Evers at London’s Waterloo East Theatre.

Joining them will be recent Big Brother star BENEDICT GARRETT and graduate MARC GEE-FINCH in the play directed by Drew Baker (#searchforatwitterstarLIVE [The Lyric Theatre, West End], Children of Eden [Prince of Wales, West End]).

The hilarious adult comedy ‘Up4aMeet?’ is a naked comedy that tells the story of three gay men, who spend their lives on an online dating website.

Unlucky in love, Grant (Matt Evers) enlists the aid of his friend Caroline (Josie Gibson) to take some nude pictures that might enhance his online dating profile. His flatmate Costas (Benedict Garrett), a Spanish nudist, has endless success with the site and even his neighbour, with the Shirley Bassey fixation appears to get a fair share of the virtual action.

What happens when Grant falls in love with a handsome stranger? How does Julian end up NAKED, wrapped in clingfilm ... and is getting a shag really like ordering a pizza?

MATT EVERS
Matt is best known as a world champion figure skater and one of the original professional on screen talents to be part of ITV1’s flagship show ‘Dancing on Ice’. He was headhunted by Jane Torvil and Christopher Dean to work on the series due to his incredible career in the United States where he was ranked in the top 5 figure skaters. He has achieved great success during the past 6 years with his celebrity partners including Heather Mills, Denise Welsh, Bonnie Langford, and winning Series 3 with Suzanne Shaw.

However, in the United States, Matt is equally known for his established broadcasting career. He presented CMT’s ‘CowboyU’, made a fly fishing series for The Travel Channel, was the ‘voice’ of NBC and has hosted endless premier live events including ‘Legends on Ice’ both in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. In the UK Matt has reported for Channel 5’s OKTV, and most recently has joined the Food Network team as a Presenter where he gets to enjoy one of his biggest passions – food! His second series is broadcasting now so be sure to tune in! He has also achieved a lengthy and successful career in modelling alongside his media and skating successes, and has graced the covers of numerous international publications.

Matt is a talented and experienced actor, having starred in many American sitcoms and dramas and recently took a small role in Tim Burton’s forthcoming blockbuster Dark Shadows alongside Johnny Depp.

JOSIE GIBSON
Josie Gibson is everyone’s favourite girl next door. She rose to fame as winner of the last ever series of Big Brother on Channel 4, and set the house alight with fun, laughter and her vivacious personality. The Bristolian bombshell won over the nation to triumph on BB11. 4 million viewers tuned in for the final to see Josie prove herself to be the life and soul of the party with a landslide win gaining 78% of the public vote – nearly 1 million voters!

A keen equestrian, Josie grew up on her Aunt’s farm. She then went on to become a Financial Sales Representative before entering the Big Brother house, where she formed a particularly close relationship with fellow contestant John James. The couple lived together in London for a year, taking part in their own reality series, which featured on Channel 5 and regularly gained at 1million viewers. They have since split up, but the channel were so impressed with Josie’s pulling power that she now has her own series ‘There’s something about Josie’, which rated consistently higher than the Amy Childs show. She also has her own column in Now! Magazine, has presented a number of episodes of OK TV!, and featured as a weekly panellist for ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’. Most recently she took part in Celebrity Wedding Planners, drawing a million viewers, and proving her ability to entertain whatever the circumstances! If you are looking for someone adored by the public (260,000 Twitter Followers), with a great sense of fun and always plenty to say, Josie is your girl.
