Theatre Review: The Hurly Burly Show - Duchess Theatre London ✭✭✭✭✭

The Hurly Burly Show
Duchess Theatre

For those of you who are familiar with the art of burlesque and those who are simply curious, The Hurly Burly Show is an evening of cabaret with the addition of glitzy lingerie and not much else!

Miss Polly Rae fronts a troupe of stunning girls through a series of sexy yet tasteful musical numbers giving each an opportunity to let their personality shine through. From the kinky dominatrix Madam Muldoon, to the giggly Peggy de Lune, all acts are unique and entertaining leaving not much to the imagination. Without giving too much away, look out for the Chanel purchases!

Particular favourites of the evening were Miss Polly’s seductive interpretation of Michael Jacksons ‘Bad’ and naughty takes on cookery and a Marie Antoinette/Kylie fusion. A special mention must also be given to our compere for the evening, Coco Duboir. Her links were packed full of raunchy innuendos and she really helped the audience feel at ease and part of the burlesque experience.

For an evening of glitter, glamour and giggles set a date with the Hurly Burly girls before The Duchess (Theatre) has to put her clothes back on!

5 stars out of 5 ✭✭✭✭✭
