Gig Review: Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Wembley Arena ✭✭✭✭✭

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
Wembley Arena

Friday 7th September 2012: Noel Gallagher - a fantastic songwriter with a brilliant catalogue of material, he sold out Wembley Arena on Friday night, and what a show he gave.

With the addition of a choir adding that extra bit of magic to the backing vocals, Noel was in classic form delivering great tunes to the audience that had filled the arena. Tracks such as Dream On, If I had A Gun and Supersonic giving us a tiny glimpse of the master at work, the crowd singing along all night, and when AKA... What A Life was being performed, I nearly lost my voice singing along.

The thing with Noel and his new music and old Oasis classics is that they will never grow old. He left two huge hits until the end of the gig to prove this, Little By Little and finally Don't Look Back In Anger, which was possibly the loudest singalong of the night.

A tremendous pleasure to see Noel Gallagher giving a great performance, and hats off to the band, horn section and choir for being spot on.

Catch Noel in Nottingham tonight.
