BIFFY CLYRO announce their biggest arena tour to date for March and April 2013

BIFFY CLYRO

RETURN WITH THEIR BIGGEST ARENA TOUR TO DATE

“Gold-medal poise and passion.” – The Guardian at Rockness.

“Few bands of any musical stripe are as pulverising as this, and virtually no band is more adept at straddling the divide that separates alternative music and the mainstream.” – Kerrang! at the Roundhouse

“Big, bold and ear-meltingly loud.” – The Evening Standard at the Roundhouse

“Their ferocious set is lit by jets of blue flame, burning red teardrops falling from the rigging and, most importantly, three new tracks.” – NME at Isle of Wight

Fresh from a triumphant return to the live arena with festival dates which included iTunes, Download, the Isle of Wight and Rockness (see above for some of the praise that they received), Biffy Clyro will follow the January 288th 2013 release of their eagerly anticipated new double-album ‘Opposites’ with their biggest arena tour to date. Biffy Clyro tickets go on-sale 9am on Friday 26th October and are available from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

Again produced by GGGarth Richardson in Los Angeles, ‘Opposites’ signals the band’s growing ambition with twenty-two tracks spread across two discs:  ‘The Sand at the Core of Our Bones’ and ‘The Land at the End of Our Toes’.

Biffy Clyro’s touring in support of ‘Only Revolutions’ – which earned a Mercury Prize nomination and sold in excess of 600,000 copies – saw them elevated to arena and festival headlining status as they played three sold-out UK tours which included a landmark show at Wembley Arena. Their status as one of Britain’s most exciting bands was reflected with Best Live Band awards from both NME and Q in 2011.
