SEARCHES FOR AN OPENING ACT
COMPETITION FOR FANS TO ENTER AND HELP CHOOSE AN ACT TO OPEN ON HIS UK TOUR
Cody Simpson is looking for the next big stars to take to the stage and open for him in each city on his UK Tour this November – and he wants his fans to help him decide who it should be!
This once-in-a-lifetime competition opens today. Entrants have until 9am on Monday 22nd October to enter and must perform a cover version of Cody Simpson’s ‘Wish You Were Here’ (video below) - PLUS another cover or original track.
After uploading their videos to their own YouTube accounts, applicants should email the link to codycompetition@aeglive.co.uk - stating which city they’d like to open for eg. Cody Opening Act Competition London as well as their name and email address.
Entries will close at 9am GMT on Monday 22nd October after which Cody Simpson will pick his TOP 3 acts for each city and their video will be posted on a dedicated YouTube page on Friday 26th October. Fans will then have until 9am GMT on Friday 2nd November to ‘like’ their favourite act in each city. The video with the most ‘likes’ in each city will win the chance to showcase their talent with an opening acoustic set at Cody’s show!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION
Entrants must be 14 years or older
Entrants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and have consent from a parent or guardian to enter
All entries must include name, age, telephone number of entrant and preferred performance city.
Entrants should save the original video file as a .mov as we may ask you for this at a later date
The winner(s) will be those whose videos receive the most ‘likes’ in each city on the You Tube page by 9am on Friday 2nd November
Travel, accommodation and any expenses associated with taking part must be covered by the participant
Prize is a maximum of 20-30minute acoustic set opening for Cody Simpson
