Have a West End Christmas in Glasgow!

An array of Scottish stalwarts fresh from the West End of London are uniting to give theatre fans an unmissable Christmas treat this year in an exclusive, one-off performance of WEST END CHRISTMAS IN GLASGOW at the ‘29’members Club, Glasgow, on Sunday 23 December. Performing Christmas themed songs from some of the greatest musicals ever written is a line up of the very best local talent, returning to their home city this winter.

Taking a night off from playing the leading role of Prince Charming in Cinderella at the Kings Theatre Glasgow, leading man and West End star Kieran Brown heads the line up in this evening of yuletide merriment. Having most recently appeared in the West End smash hit musical Wicked, Kieran has also featured in the hugely successful productions of Les Miserables for Sir Cameron Mackintosh at the Palace Theatre, London and the O2, and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash hit Love Never Dies at the Adelphi.

Joining Kieran is his very own panto Princess, Jenny Douglas (We Will Rock You) who is currently working along side him in Cinderella at the King’s Theatre. He will also be joined by Stirling born Gillian Ford who trained at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Upon graduating she made her West End debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s revival of The Sound of Musicwhere she understudied and played the leading role of Maria. Since then she has starred in numerous UK Tours and leading festivals across the country and was a finalist in the illustrious BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre competition. She will also be taking a brief hiatus from pantoland as she is starring as the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Byre Theatre.

Musical Direction will be undertaken by Niall Bailey, a freelance musical director, vocal coach and orchestrator whose theatre credits include Sweeney Todd at the Royal Festival Hall, The Hired Man at the Landor (which saw him nominated for a Best Musical Director award) and productions of Spring Awakening, Guys and Dolls, Nine and Company amongst many others.

Joining Kieran, Gillian and Niall are Eddie Reid who wowed the judges and audiences of Britain’s Got Talent last year with his outstanding vocal abilities, Wicked stars George Ure, who played the leading role of Boq and Jacqueline Hughes who understudied and played the role of Madame Morrible. The line up is completed by Scottish singer and musician Simone Welsh and David Kristopher-Brown who was last seen in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London.

Tickets for this exclusive, intimate evening of festive cabaret are strictly limited and early booking as advised so don’t miss a wonderful pre-Christmas evening of music, song and laughter. Book now!
