UK tour of new adventure arena show continues, visiting Nottingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Exeter, London and Glasgow

DreamWorks Madagascar Live!, proudly presented by Stage Entertainment Touring Productions,  has kicked off its UK arena tour to the delight of critics and audiences alike in Bournemouth, Birmingham and Brighton. 

Madagascar Live! was given its UK premiere at the Bournemouth International Centre on 11th January 2013, where the Salisbury Journal enjoyed the “party atmosphere” in the arena and the Daily Echo praised the move from the much-loved DreamWorks animation to live stage show as “seamlessly fantastic”.  The Birmingham Mail gave the production a five star review during its run at the LG Arena spotting “young and old dancing in the aisles to its rhyming rhythms”.  Newcastle’s Evening Chronicle, who caught a sneak preview of the production in rehearsal, said Madagascar Live! is “not to be missed” and commended its “inspiring” music and “clever script”.  The Brighton Argus concluded “a wild night out had been had by all”.

There are still many chances to catch this lively theatrical show based on the blockbuster DreamWorks Animation franchise;  Madagascar Live! plays at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd February, before visiting Newcastle, Cardiff, Exeter, London and Glasgow.

The fun and humour of the animals and their escapades is brilliantly recreated in this arena production for audiences of all ages.  The show tells the story of Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and the plotting penguins’ escape from their home at New York’s Central Park Zoo.  The characters find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar, featuring joyous dance numbers and spectacular new songs as well as hit number ‘I Like To Move It, Move It’.

This celebration of friendship is brought vividly to life by imaginative sets and costumes, bringing West End values to the arena environment. A cast of 25 characters take the audience on a journey from Central Park Zoo all the way to the beaches of Madagascar in a song-filled show for the whole family.
