the return of the award-winning
London Wonderground
at Southbank Centre festival
Roll up! Roll up! for the return of the festival that took London by
storm last year, London Wonderground at Southbank Centre – a summer long
celebration of the best cabaret, circus and sideshows that the world has to
offer. Built around a magnificent 1920's Spiegeltent, London Wonderground last
year captured the heart and the imagination of London, attracted 1 million
visitors to the site and recently scooped the Best Newcomer Award at the London
Cabaret Awards. A little bit of Coney Island is returning to 21st
century London once again. Prepare for the unexpected.
London Wonderground is part of Southbank
Centre’s Festival of Neighbourhood with MasterCard this summer from 4 May to 8
September. Following on from the recent announcement of LIMBO,
the brand new show of scintillating circus and wondrous illusion from the
creators of last year's smash hit Cantina,
Underbelly and Southbank Centre are delighted today to announce a selection of
treats that await you in this years programme. Tickets for these shows are on
sale now, with further shows to be announced soon.

Al Murray: The Pub
Landlord's Southbank Saloon - The nation’s favourite pub
philosopher turns pop-up publican, bringing his unique satirical genius to
London Wonderground. With a host of special guests each night, comedy, variety
and music are all on tap in this headline show. The ringmaster of
rabble-rousing invites you to his jumped-up tent saloon for three nights only!

UK’s finest musicians thrown together with the world’s most exciting comics.
This is a truly unique and heady mix of spontaneous stand-up, spectacular

London Wonderground is part of Southbank Centre’s
Festival of Neighbourhood with MasterCard this summer from 4 May to 8
September. The festival will celebrate neighbourhood in all its meanings and
explore what it is to have and be a neighbour. Communities who live close by
and partners from across the UK and abroad will participate in creating the
festival – from nearby Elephant and Castle in South London to young people from
Pelhourino in Salvador, Brazil – with a diverse programme of events including
poetry, discussion, visual arts, performance and art installations across
Southbank Centre’s 21-acre site.
