FOSSIL COLLECTIVE to release debut album 'Tell Where I Lie' on 8th April + UK Tour

FOSSIL COLLECTIVE
Announce debut album
‘Tell Where I Lie’
8th April 2013

"Classic Laurel Canyon sound" - The Times
"profoundly beautiful and engaging" – Drowned In Sound

"Tell Where I Lie" is the debut album from Leeds multi-instrumentalists Fossil Collective, due out 8th April on Dirty Hit.

David Fendick and Jonny Hooker's opening statement is a collection of songs written over the last two years. It's been a long time in the making, but now the band truly sound like they are where they want to be, delivering a confident, mature and truly inspiring collection of wonderfully crafted songs.

The variation throughout the record is proudly on display: "Under My Arrest" is reminiscent of early Radiohead, whereas the stunningly subtle "How Was I To Know" evokes a vulnerability similar to that of iconic songwriter Damien Rice. "Wolves", the first single to be taken from the album, presents a journey of slight unease and urgency, while "When Frank Became An Orb" depicts a journey with a loved one 'Draw a line on the horizon to a place that only you and I will go'. Such musical diversity is hard to find in this day and age.

The album comes in the wake of acclaim that's been building since their debut EP "Let It Go" was released on 11th June 2012. Widespread national radio and press support has seen the band touring the UK non-stop, both as a headline act and most recently with Grammy-nominated band, The Civil Wars.
