MICHAEL BUBLE to perform full show rehearsal for fans at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena on 28th June

MICHAEL BUBLE

FULL SHOW REHEARSAL FOR FANS IN SHEFFIELD

Motorpoint Arena Sheffield - Friday 28th June 2013

Tuesday 25th June - Global superstar Michael Buble has been rehearsing at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena ahead of his series of sold-out dates including 10 nights at the O2 Arena in London, 5 nights at The O2 in Dublin and an extensive tour of North America. Michael has announced that following successful technical rehearsals and sound checks he will be opening the doors to allow local fans to be the very first to enjoy the complete full show before it goes on the road.

This week Michael put a call into Big John @ Breakfast on South Yorkshire radio station Hallam FM to confirm that he would be opening the doors of his full show rehearsal at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena this Friday 28th June. Big John said “it’s not only brilliant that a megastar such as Michael Buble is in town rehearsing his show, but that we’re able to see the full spectacular show before anybody else!”

Local fans can purchase specially priced £25 tickets from 9am on Wednesday 26th June, with proceeds being split between Hallam FM and Bauer Radio's local children’s charity ‘Cash for Kids’ a charity for local children and young people who are suffering from abuse, disability or simply need guidance and Sheffield’s Children’s hospital, one of only four dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK. For more information please visit www.hallamfm.co.uk/cashforkids and www.sheffieldchildrens.nhs.uk/.

Venue Manager Rob O'Shea is excited by the challenge of putting on sale and hosting a concert for 12,000 music fans all within what will be a very hectic 48 hour period. "This will be the first time in the buildings 22 year history that we have ever announced, put on sale and hosted a show all within 72 hours. The quick turnaround time will bring with it some challenges but when Michael Buble says he wants to put a show on in your venue you do everything you can to make it possible."

Marketing Manager Simon Bailey says that we have had to tweak the refurbishment start date as some of the works in the public areas were due to start after Sunday's sell-out Rod Stewart concert, but will now see the seats start to be removed from the building and the toilet blocks being knocked down on Saturday, the day after the Buble concert. "What a way to close the building with a special one off Michael Buble concert followed by the multi-million pound summer refurbishment and to then open in front of packed Arena for the Steelers V Nottingham ice hockey clash on the 8th September; these are definitely exciting times at the Arena, he adds.

This concert is a real once in a lifetime opportunity – a chance to see one of the World’s most successful artistes in a full show rehearsal ahead of a massive sell-out tour.

Michael Buble tickets go on-sale 9am on Wednesday 26th June priced at £25 (subject to booking fee) and are available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk, www.motorpointarenasheffield.co.uk,in person at the Arena or ticket hotline on 0114 256 56 56.

Given that tickets cannot be posted out for this show customers are strongly advised to use the online print at home service to keep the ticket collection queues to a minimum. The box office will be open for extra hours for customers to book and collect tickets with the full details posted on the Michael Buble page of the Arena website at: www.motorpointarenasheffield.co.uk.
