The Overtones landed a hit with their debut album ‘Good Ol’ Fashioned Love’ which peaked at #4 and they followed it with last year’s ‘Higher’ which entered the charts at #6. Sales of the two albums have passed 600,000. Along the way they’ve enjoyed a succession of major achievements, including performing in front of 250,000 people at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert, appearing at the Festival of Remembrance and hitting London’s Hyde Park for major festival shows at BT London Live (2012) and British Summer Time (2013).

Released on November 4th, ‘Saturday Night At The Movies’ is a celebration of some of the most loved songs in cinematic history. It finds The Overtones reinvigorating iconic songs from famous films such as Grease, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Cocktail and The Jungle Book with their own timeless sense of style.

Commencing with a joyous interpretation of the title track, the album’s numerous highlights include a fresh reworking of ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’ that encompasses the quintet’s vintage five-part vocal harmonies; a hi-octane blast through the Blues Brothers’ classic ‘Shake A Tail Feather’; and the boys’ energetic take on ‘Do You Love Me’. It also features a very special guest in the shape of modern soul star and multiple MOBO winner Beverley Knight on ‘Hit The Road Jack’.

“Touring is our favourite part of the year and we’re really excited to be hitting the road and coming to a venue near you,” says Lachie Chapman. “You’ll know by now that by the end of one of our shows we make sure everyone is up dancing and the Saturday Night At The Movies tour will do exactly that!” The full UK tour schedule is:
