From Monday to Friday this week, Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park is throwing open the gates for everyone to enjoy the summer vibes and a whole host of activities for FREE.
From the best international food to free Zumba classes, Hyde Park offers everything required to make the most of the long summer evenings across The Village Green, Piazza and Carnival zones.

Evening Cinema: Enjoy the free big screen to see the critically acclaimed documentary ‘Mistaken For Strangers’ about The National, the band who will be performing a full set later in the week in Hyde Park supporting Neil Young And Crazy Horse on 12th July as well as the classic film, The Graduate.

Food: Hyde Park is a must-visit destination for food and drink lovers with a wealth of internationally acclaimed street food vendors open all day and into the evening. The pioneering seasonal produce specialist Sourced Market have hand-picked a selection of the best British street food that shouldn’t be missed.

Music: The Village Green and the Summer Stage both boast a mid-week range of local musicians and bands. Perfect for after work drinks in the sunshine.

Zumba: Take a free Zumba class featuring exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. It's easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating.
 Classes will take place at the Carnival Stage and is suitable for all levels on a first come, first served basis.

Barclaycard Better View: An exclusive flight experience, #betterview takes customers up 100ft into the sky, providing an unrivalled view of the site, Hyde Park and London’s skyline for a truly breathtaking experience.

Fairground: Have fun in the sun in our pop up fairground. Rides include a Helter Skelter, Ferris Wheel and Waveswinger.


Yes2Chess: Barclaycard in association with Chess in Schools and Communities has seen over 20,000 children from eight countries compete in online and face to face chess tournaments, either competitively or just for fun. The winning teams from each of the countries take part in the Grand Final on Tuesday 8th July.

Members of the public can also participate in a live Human Chess tournament, along with Kings and queens all in character in this iconic park setting. Three 45-minute tournaments will take place on the giant chessboard from 12pm – 4pm on Tuesday 8th July.
