MISTAKEN FOR STRANGERS and THE GRADUATE to be screened for free in Hyde Park tonight and Friday

‘MISTAKEN FOR STRANGERS’ AND ‘THE GRADUATE’ TO BE SCREENED FOR FREE IN HYDE PARK

The iconic films to be shown on Wednesday 9 and Friday 11 July as Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park opens its gates for free

Critically acclaimed documentary ‘Mistaken For Strangers’ and the all-time classic movie The Graduate will be screened for free at Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park at 7.30pm on Wednesday 9 and Friday 11 July respectively.

Staged between two mammoth weekends of music, the free mid-week activity in Hyde Park will cover everything from international food outlets to Zumba classes and the two films.

‘Mistaken For Strangers’ – showing on Wednesday 9 July from 7.30pm - follows The National on tour as seen through the eyes of the younger brother of the frontman, Matt Berninger. Tom Berninger joins their tour as a roadie, where he gets the idea to film a documentary whilst following them around the world.

The film, which opened the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, was described by The Washington Post as "a funny, eccentric and finally deeply poignant depiction of art, family, self-sabotage and the prickly intricacies of brotherly love."

The National will be playing a full set supporting Neil Young And Crazy Horse at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on Saturday July 12.  The day also boasts the likes of Tom Odell, Midlake and Lucy Rose.

‘The Graduate’, starring Dustin Hoffman, is often described as one of the greatest films of all time, as well as being one of the top 25 highest grossing movies ever in the USA. The film features a classic soundtrack by Simon And Garfunkel, no strangers to Hyde Park themselves having played their last UK show to 50,000 fans in the iconic venue in 2005.
