LAURA WRIGHT announces UK headline shows & gets awarded Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Award

Soprano singing sensation Laura Wright will be awarded with the PPL ‘Classic Award’ at the 2012 O2 Silver Clef Awards in aid of music charity Nordoff Robbins on Friday 29th June.

Along with Laura's recent album release 'Glorious' getting to the top of the iTunes Classical chart, she features twice on 'Sing', the #1 album from Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band. Laura also sang the national anthem at this years FA Cup final, and at this years Soccer Aid event in front of Robbie Williams, Will Ferrell and many more!

Laura says of her O2 Silver Clef award: “I am honoured to be receiving my O2 Silver Clef award and delighted to be able to support Nordoff Robbins and their amazing music therapy work. To have my name alongside such incredible artists who have been a real inspiration to me throughout my life and career: Andrea Bocelli, Katherine Jenkins, Nicola Benedetti, Faryl Smith and Russell Watson. This is a huge privilege and I am delighted to be a part of the O2 Silver Clef Awards, helping such an incredible charity.”

The list of attendees for the O2 Silver Clef on Friday is looking as impressive as ever with Jessie J, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Emeli Sande, Conor Maynard, Tinie Tempah, Tom Jones, Michael Buble, Laura Wright, Fatboy Slim and Manic Street Preachers.

Laura is currently on tour with Russell Watson, and in August will be touring with Alfie Boe.

UK Headline Shows

Wednesday September 12th sees her perform what is sure to be a sensational homecoming show at the Ipswich Corn Exchange and she then takes to the stage in the idyllic setting of London’s St. James Church in Piccadilly on Thursday 13th September.
