SQUEEZE TO PLAY HAMPTON COURT PALACE FESTIVAL ON 19 JUNE
SQUEEZE ANNOUNCE JUNE AND JULY USA TOUR WITH THE B52’S
New-wave heroes Squeeze have added an exciting summer festival date to their packed 2012 UK schedule, with an outdoor performance at Hampton Court Palace Festival on 19 June.
This must-see show will be a taster for fans who will see them tour the UK extensively this November and December with the Squeeze Pop Up Shop tour.
In June and the band return to the USA for an extensive tour of the country, co-headlining with new-wave rockers The B52’s. The US tour will visit California, Colorado, Iowa, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia and feature renowned venues such as the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (30 June 2012).
Squeeze’s Glenn Tilbrook (vocals / guitar) stated: “Between the Hampton Court Palace Show on the 19 June and the B52’s US tour we are going to be pretty busy. We can’t wait”

Squeeze’s contribution to music has been noted in 2010 with the site of their first gig being awarded a prestigious PRS For Music Heritage Plaque, which has so far commemorated the debuts of Blur and Dire Straits. It joins an ever-increasing list of Squeeze accolades alongside their recent Ivor Novello for Outstanding Contribution to British Music and their Nordoff-Robbins Icon Award., as well as the Mojo Magazine Icon Award. Chris Difford’s lyrics and Glenn Tilbrook’s music have survived everything over the years, from the ever-changing musical landscape to their own internal reshuffles and even an acrimonious breakup - but Squeeze is here to stay, still going strong and still loving every moment.
