York Racecourse are proud to reveal the opening act for this summer’s much anticipated Music Showcase Weekend. Ready to conquer the racecourse with Doll Domination, global superstars PUSSYCAT DOLLS will headline on Friday Evening 24th July 2020.

The multi-platinum pop sensations – Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar have sold more than 55 Million records worldwide, streamed over 3 Billion times, x2 Winners at the MTV VMA and achieved eight U.K. top 10 singles. They made their much-anticipated live return during the final of X Factor: Celebrity at the end of last year, a show where Nicole Scherzinger is a long-standing judge.

The band will be bringing hits such as ‘Don’t Cha’, ‘Stickwitu’, ‘When I Grow Up’, ‘Buttons’ and more fan favourites back to life with their iconic dance routines and show-stopping vocals.

To book visit yorkracecourse.co.uk; admission to the main Grandstand and Paddock enclosure starts at just £27 per person for a group of six* and racegoers aged 5-17 enjoy a special rate of just £10 (subject to limited availability). As well as free car parking, there are no booking fees.

On the racecourse itself, The European Breeders Fund Lyric York Stakes will be the centrepiece of a six-race card that will precede the concert.

It promises to be a fun filled summer for racing and music fans as Saturday 25th July sees Rick Astley perform, with the headliner for Saturday 27th June still to be announced – keep your eyes peeled on yorkracecourse.co.uk for further announcements.

 These are integrated events and admission is not available on a "concert only" basis; indeed the gates will be closed at the time of the last race.

*Price Freeze applies only to County Stand and Grandstand and Paddock General Admission, booked before December 31st 2019. The Melrose Club Lounge and Premier Racing Lounge will be on sale at 2020 rates.

** With the group of six discount applied, advance booked admission to Grandstand and Paddock is £25 per person, the same size group in County Stand is £38.50 per person. An individual can advance book at £39 for County Stand and £29 for Grandstand and Paddock. The Picnic Enclosure is only available for sale on the day at £15 however does not offer the opportunity of getting close to the stage itself, though it is in sight.

*Racegoers aged 5-17 are admitted to Stands Side at a special rate of £10, subject to availability. To help them enjoy their day and to be fair to everyone, an adult will need to accompany racegoers aged under 16, with a limit of two under sixteens for each adult.

This is an outdoor concert. To get closest to the stage, visitors will need to have either a County Stand or Grandstand & Paddock admission. The position of the stage for 2020 is as recent years, at the southern end of Bustardthorpe Lawn on the main grandstand side. It is at about the one furlong mark, some 20 metres from the track facing parallel to the direction of running. The elevation of Knavesmire Stand steppings offers a view over the stage and the angle permits viewing of races and stage from the County Stand Lawn. We will make good use of the giant screens for both racing and concert viewing.  Please note in order to get closest to the stage racegoers will need to book entry to County Stand or Grandstand & Paddock; thereafter there are no reserved positions. Please note the price of admission reflects the wider facilities provided for the duration of the raceday and does not reflect a reserved position nor preferential view of the stage.
