Hampton Court Palace Festival

Sunday 24th June: At last -  the sun was shining last night at Hampton Court Palace for a dazzling performance from entertainer John Barrowman.

His seven piece band, consisting of guitar, bass, drums, keys and three brass/woodwind were incredibly tight, and sounding good on the Hampton Court system along with some nice lighting effects.

John Barrowman, dressed in a purple sparkly suit entered the stage to a huge cheer and round of applause and the night carried on that way. The audience loving it and clapping along to Listen To The Music.

John has a great rapport with the crowd, telling little stories and jokes, quite fittingly that his "Dressing room is fit for a Queen!" A varied set list, with songs such as What About Love, a scottish influenced version of Memories from the musical Cats and brilliant version of Rain On My Parade certainly showed off John's powerful vocal range and showmanship.

Take That's Greatest Day went down a treat, and so did a fly that went into his mouth whilst singing a song! The crowd loved You To Me Are Everything with everybody singing along, and dancing to Let's Get Loud. John whizzed off stage to change into an even more sparkly suit, and finished the night off with I Am What I Am.

A wonderful evening with great vocals,  supported by a fabulous band for a very talented and entertaining performer.
