The Main Square Festival in Arras, France on July 1,2 and 3, is located at the intersection of the influence of three major European capitals: London, Brussels and Paris. We are pleased to announce its line up for the 2011 edition. Once again, the magnificent Citadel of Arras, a UNESCO classified monument, should be this year the scene of the best live performances of the summer!
On Saturday, July 2nd, the award winning Canadians of ARCADE FIRE and KASABIAN will headline ourstage. They will be joined by be the 2010 revelationTWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB, MOBY, THE NATIONAL, KAISER CHIEFS, WHITE LIES, JIMMY EAT WORLD, FLEET FOXES, ALOE BLACC, EVERYTHING EVERYTHING Etc...
Sunday, July 3rd: festival closing with the triumphant and exclusive return of COLDPLAY in Arras for their only performance in France. This explosive finale will be preceded by the legendary PORTISHEAD, by PJ HARVEY and by the award winning ELBOW. BRUNO MARS, CHARLES BRADLEY, RIVAL SONS, the legendary electro UNDERWORLD and COLD WAR KIDS will also join the party...
Some of the trendiest French acts such as YODELICE, PUGGY and SELAH SUE are also part of the 7th Main Square Festival.
