JAMES BLAKE New Single & UK Tour Dates Announced

James Blake

Lindisfarne /Unluck - AA single
Released June 20
Available on 10” and digitally

"Lindisfarne II" takes what Bon Iver's ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’ did best and turns it into a simple, poignant mantra; if it doesn't score the season's end of some prime-time drama, a music director should be fired.” 9/10 Pitchfork

“This album is one of the most breathtakingly original musical visions to come along in years” Dazed & Confused

“Make a note to yourself to put some Mercury-prize money on this extraordinary album” Sunday Times ****

Since the release of his critically acclaimed eponymous debut album, James Blake has been busying himself playing the record live all over the world. He’s successfully been wowing crowds in venues from his London residency at the tiny St Pancras church in King’s Cross to his first ever trip to New York playing at the Williamsburg Music Hall, where the audience included a suitably impressed Bjork and Anthony Hegarty. This New York debut led him onto at least a show a day at this year’s SXSW and straight into a full-blown European tour.

Picking up fans wherever he travels, including it seems, Paul Simon who recently told the Huffington Post he’d been enjoying the album, has resulted in his album global sales of over 170k sales with still a whole summer and rest of year stretched out head of him.

Up next for James here in the UK is the double A release of this new edit of Lindisfarne which combines parts I & 11 from the album & Unluck – two extraordinary pieces of music from his debut. This release is backed by his first fully-fledged UK tour and a host of summer festival performances including a Saturday night Park Stage slot at Glastonbury, Field Day, Green Man and Bestival.

For the London date of his forthcoming tour, James is currently collaborating with United Visual Artists, a lighting design group who have worked on the likes of the Massive Attack’s 100th Window world tour as well as U2’s Vertigo tour, creating a tailor-made, mighty impressive visual experience for the audience.
