Following the conclusion of the Globe’s 2011 Theatre Season on 2 October, Shakespeare’s Globe will present two tours – The Comedy of Errors which visits California in November 2011 and Howard Brenton’sAnne Boleyn in partnership with English Touring Theatre, which will visit Cambridge, Birmingham, Blackpool, Brighton, Truro, Darlington, Malvern and Bath between March and May 2012.

Continuing the Globe’s programme of US touring, Rebecca Gatward’s 2009-10 production of The Comedy of Errors will visit UC Santa Barbara (8-11 November) and The Broad Stage Santa Monica (12-27 November) for the third year running. This playful production delighted audiences around the UK and Europe during its 2009-10 tours, and features a number of regular Globe actors.

Howard Brenton’s highly acclaimed Anne Boleyn returned to the Globe this summer to perform a revival run of sell-out performances. The spring 2012 tour will extend the reach of this popular work to even more audiences around the UK.

These tours follow a record-breaking summer season at the Globe, despite the economic downturn. Concluding on Sunday 2 October 2011, the remaining performances include Jeremy Herrin’s production ofMuch Ado About Nothing; Matthew Dunster’s production of Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor FaustusThe Globe Mysteries – a new version by Tony Harrison and The God of Soho by Chris Hannan. The Word is God season celebrated the 400th anniversary as the King James Bible and also featured All’s Well That Ends WellAnne Boleyn and a cover to cover reading of the Bible, alongside two small-scale tours ofHamlet and As You Like It.

Tickets for the remainder of the Globe’s 2011 theatre season can be booked online at www.shakespearesglobe.com or through the box office on 020 7401 9919.
