Perrier Award Winner SEAN HUGHES Returns To Soho Theatre With New Show 'Life Becomes Noises'

Sean Hughes
Life Becomes Noises

Perrier Award winner Sean Hughes returns to the Soho Theatre from 21st to 26th November with the beginnings of a brand new show, Life Becomes Noises.

With Sean sat beside a hospital bed it becomes apparent that this isn’t an ordinary stand-up show. It has been a year since his dad’s death and despite having dealt with life since that difficult time, Sean is still searching for a way to cry. Centred on his father’s passing, Sean explores people’s reaction to death while ultimately rejoicing life - using music, mime and some unconventional methods...

Sean shines with his willingness to tackle difficult subjects head on. His dark humour entwined within this tale provides a hilarious insight into the darker side of dying and getting older, going to places that comedy rarely goes, highlighting how ridiculous life is and how quickly it can be taken away.

Although he is more known for his various TV appearances it is on the stage that he really has to be seen

What the press have said about Sean...

‘hugely impressive and intelligent’      Time Out
‘high calibre comedy as it should be’  The Evening Standard
‘one of the best stand-ups of his generation’ Daily Telegraph
