CHIDDY BANG set to support PROFESSOR GREEN on UK tour

CHIDDY BANG

Following the release of their debut album ‘Breakfast’ on the 5th of March, Chiddy Bang have been announced as the main support for Professor Green’s April/May tour.

2011 was an incredible year for Chiddy Bang. Their infectious debut single “Opposite of Adults ” surpassed sales of 500,000 downloads and was certified gold by the R.I.A.A in the US. In the UK the track reached number 11 in the singles chart and cemented the bands status as the bright lights of Hip Hop from the U.S. In March “Opposites Of Adults” won the Best Video Woodie Award at the 2011 MTVU Woodie Awards.  The video has an incredible 16 million youtube views.

Additionally, Chiddy Bang had reason to celebrate in April as they solidified their place as an act to reckon with by breaking not one but two Guinness Book of World Records. On April 29th, while live streamed during MTV’s inaugural Online Music Awards, Chiddy set the Guinness World Records title for the Longest Freestyle Rap while also simultaneously breaking the Longest Marathon Rapping record. After rapping continuously for 9 hours, 18 minutes and 22 seconds, never breaking for more than three seconds, Chiddy concluded the impressive feat by joining Xaphoon on stage in front of a crowd of several thousand for the blistering debut performance of “Mind Your Manners”. The track features on ‘Breakfast’ and has already had over 1.3 million views on YouTube.

Having met at Drexel University in 2008, the multi-talented duo uploaded a mix tape entitled, ‘The Swelly Express’ on to myspace – an album of heavy party jams which circulated around the American college circuit like wildfire and was downloaded over 100,000 times in a month. Since then the band has become internet sensations achieving number 1 on Hype Machine over 10 times. The duo spent this year on the road and played festivals around the globe including Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Bamboozle, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits and have toured with/been championed by artists like Snoop Dogg, Tinie Tempah, Three 6 Mafia, Kid Cudi and Kanye.
