THE ORIGINAL RUDEBOYS to play Whelans, Dublin on 2nd June

The Original Rudeboys

Album 'This Life' out now

The Original Rudeboys highly anticipated debut album ‘This Life’ is out now and shot straight to the number one position on the iTunes chart.

The Original Rudeboys complete an extraordinary first twelve months as a band with the much anticipated release of their debut album. Entitled 'This Life', the album will be released on CD and download on Gotta Run Records through Rubyworks / PIAS.

The album features the singles 'Stars In My Eyes' and 'Travelling Man'; as well as all new recordings of fan favourites such as 'Sunny Days' and 'Bringing Me Down'. The album was produced and mixed by Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Wretch 32) at his Sticky Studio base in Surrey, England in the latter months of 2011. Mastering was completed at Air Studios, London.

The Original Rudeboys have had an incredible story so far. Breaking out of Dublin as a quartet of cool YouTube clips propelled them to cult status among young Irish music fans. Viewing figures on their YouTube channel are now in excess of one million, truly remarkable for a band who didn't release a record until November last year.

The band's debut single – 'Stars In My Eyes' – peaked at # 3 on iTunes, and earned them new fans both online and in the media. 'Travelling Man' was released on March 9th and peaked at # 2. On the live scene, the band go from strength to strength. Having played at Oxegen last summer, the band headlined sell out shows at The Sugar Club, The Academy 2 (twice) and The Workman's Club; and recently enjoyed stellar support slots with The Game, Sinead O'Connor, Damien Dempsey and Olly Murs.
Their album launch show at The Grand Social in Dublin at the end of March sold out so they’ve added a further show at Whelan's on June 2nd.

The Original Rudeboys have just been invited to join Swedish House Mafia, Snoop Dogg, Tinie Tempah and Calvin Harris at The Phoenix Park on July 7th.

Tracklisting: 'Stars In My Eyes', 'Travelling Man', 'Sunny Days', 'Me And My Mind', 'Live Your Life', 'Bringing Me Down', 'Blue Eyes', 'Complicated', 'In Too Deep', 'Written Songs'.

'This Life' is released on Gotta Run today on CD and download.
