Gig Review: Blur - BT London Live Olympic Closing Ceremony Concert, Hyde Park ✭✭✭✭✭
Well I'm guessing about 70,000 people crammed Hyde Park last night to catch Blur playing live in concert, and they certainly didn't disappoint.
Opening the set with Girls & Boys, the band were full of energy and character as the crowd were jumping and singing along, we were in for one hell of a night. Followed by London Loves, Damon Albarn and the boys were whipping the audience into an Olympic frenzy, with the hits flowing along.
Country House had all of us singing along, this being one of their biggest hits, followed by another, Parklife, with guest Phil Daniels popping on stage to join in, and a very funny cameo appearance from Harry Enfield dressed as a tea lady wheeling on a trolley!
Packing in the songs including Coffe and TV, Song 2 and an encore of Sing and ending with The Universal the two hour set was fresh, energetic and a fantastic way to end BT London Live in Hyde Park for this years Summer Olympics.
