P!NK kicks off world tour and announces European support
P!NK
P!nk took to the stage last weekend to begin her eagerly anticipated Truth About Love World Tour.
She performed in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles to sell out crowds full of dancing and singing fans giving them a show fueled by her unique brand of high-energy, theatrics and emotion, further securing her place as one of the most spectacular performers of her generation.
P!nk again delivered a visually stunning stage production full of the performance elements that are uniquely her own. Sonically she soared through pyrotechnic fueled vocals to tender vocal moments with action-packed surprises from start to finish.
Today she has announced she has invited both WALK THE MOON and Churchill to join her on the European leg of her world tour.
Cincinnati’s WALK THE MOON were launched in 2008 and soon made a name for themselves.
Everything the band does is infused with a playful spirit, from their radiant live shows, to the songs the band recently recorded for their debut album.
Their music brims with sparkling synth-heavy pop hooks, chanted melodies, sunny harmonies, and agile polyrhythmic grooves — a sound influenced by the New Wave stylings of their favorite artists Talking Heads, David Bowie, and The Police.
Seattlest.com recently posted a review of a show saying “Walk The Moon hit the stage with so much energy that the crowd immediately pushed forward and started dancing. It's refreshing to see a band that's having as much, or more, fun than the people there to see them. They took us back to the days of basement dance parties on hot summer nights, where everyone's just happy to be alive and among friends.”
Denver quintet, Churchill, is blessed with two distinctive lead vocalists that weaves together various musical styles driven by its expansive approach to songwriting and a strong musical chemistry. Their kaleidoscopic sound includes freewheeling alt-country with rock attitude and sophisticated classical flourishes.
Esquire Magazine named Churchill as a “Band to Watch” in 2013 and USA Today will feature them as "On The Verge." Although the band has been touring across the U.S. this will be the first time Churchill visit Europe.
The Truth About Love tour marks her first full world tour in three years. P!nk will take her extraordinary live show to cities throughout the US and Canada before hitting Europe in April and then taking her on to Australia.
