Tony and Emmy Award winning star of Wicked, TV’s The West Wing, Pushing Daisies and Glee to play the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday the 12th of July!

Friday 7th March - Emmy and Tony Award winner and Oklahoma Hall of Fame inductee, Kristin Chenoweth has today announced that she will play ‘An Evening With…’ show at London’s grade one listed and highly prestigious concert hall the Royal Albert Hall on the 12th of July. This is a rare one-off stop in the UK for the star and will see her perform hits from across her extensive career. Kristin famously transitions between stage, television, film and boasts an accomplished singing career.
In addition to her on-screen performances, Chenoweth continues to tour leading into 2014 including a stop in the UK’s capital city. The evening will feature Chenoweth performing an array of her most memorable songs and Broadway show tunes, including music from “Wicked,” “Promises, Promises” and “Glee.”  This unique night with the multitalented performer promises to take concert goers on a ride of laughter, heartbreak, thrills and great music.

Kristin received rave reviews while starring in the award winning ABC series “Pushing Daisies,” where she received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Chenoweth has appeared on Fox’s comedy “Glee,” where she played a former student. For this role, she was nominated for two Emmy Awards and for a People’s Choice. Chenoweth also starred as Annabeth Schott on the hit drama “The West Wing” and guest judged on “American Idol” and “Project Runway.” In addition the star famously originated the role of Glinda the Good Witch in “Wicked,” which earned her a Tony Award nomination.

Chenoweth recently wrapped production on the Universal film “The Boy Next Door,” alongside Jennifer Lopez. She is currently in production on several other film projects, including “A Bet’s A Bet” with Mena Suvari and Eric Roberts and an indie teen drama entitled “Hard Sell.” In spring of 2014, she will be seen in "Rio 2," voicing the character of Gaby, a hilarious poisonous frog. Additionally, she will be featured in a guest arc on the TV Land series, “Kirstie”‎ and will return for the 100th episode of “Glee,” set to air in March. In May, she will return to the famed Carnegie Hall for the first time since her sold-out solo debut in 2004.

Chenoweth wrote an uplifting candid, comedic chronicle of her life so far, “A Little Bit Wicked”, this debuted at # 12 on the New York Times Hardcover Non Fiction Best Seller List. In addition to writing she is active in the charity world forming a new charity partnership with the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center (BA PAC) Foundation in her home town of Oklahoma.

A veteran of the concert scene, Chenoweth has performed sold-out shows while touring around the globe.  She has performed at Bernstein’s Candide at Lincoln Center with The New York Philharmonic, a sold-out Los Angeles solo debut at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, an evening at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the Washington National Opera’s 50th Anniversary Gala with Placido Domingo, the Sydney Opera House, Hollywood Bowl accompanied by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and The Allen Room in New York’s acclaimed Lincoln Center. Kristin has also joined the musical group IL Divo and international violin virtuoso, Vanessa Mae on tour in 2009 and performed her solo concert at Sam Mendes’s acclaimed Donmar Warehouse as part of the Divas at Donmar series. Chenoweth has had numerous collaborations with various symphonies, including The New York Philharmonic, Boston Pops, National Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony and the San Francisco Symphony.
