JUSTHOPE EP launch at Nice n Sleazy's!
Up
and coming four piece Justhope are launching their EP Eye Witness at Nice n Sleazy’s
Glasgow on 3rd June. The Glasgow-based band will perform an extensive
set capturing the essence of their rhythmical and melodic sound, showcasing
their vast catalogue of original material along with some select cover versions
and brand new original tracks. Support will be provided by Bluebird and Robin
McKinven.
Following
the success of the first offering Colors,
Justhope are hoping their new EP will ignite their launch into the wider
UK music scene. Known for their charismatic performances in some of Glasgow’s most notable venues, including King Tut’s
Wah Wah Hut, Oran Mor and O2 ABC Academy, and most recently featured in King
Tut’s “New Years Revolution” Festival for 2015.
Incorporating a variety of
musical influences into their distinctive style, the band spent 2014 recording
new material and playing gigs in the Netherlands, expanding on their cultural
exposure and artistic direction culminating in the upcoming release of Eye
Witness.
Opening track ‘Ordinary’ encapsulates
the bands musicality and a harmonising intimacy. Whereas ‘Eye Witness’ introduces
a rhythm of samples and is graced with perfect melancholic vocals to buoyant
background tones. ‘Give Me Something’ livens the tempo and plays subtle
homage to some of the bands main influences: John Mayer, Green Day, Paul Simon,
Led Zeppelin, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Coldplay.
