TINIE TEMPAH announces O2 Academy Brixton show 16th April 2016

TINIE TEMPAH
ANNOUNCES O2 ACADEMY BRIXTON SHOW ON 16TH APRIL 2016

Tinie Tempah will play his first UK show of the year at the O2 Academy Brixton on April 16th. The show represents a rare chance for fans to see him in a more intimate setting, following his most recent London headline date at The O2 during his 2014 ‘Demonstration’ tour. Tinie is currently working on new material for release later this year and recently released his independent mixtape ‘Junk Food’ via Disturbing London, which is currently on iTunes. Tickets for this show go on sale 9am Friday 22nd January.

Last year Tinie scored his sixth and seventh #1 smash hits with ‘Not Letting Go’ featuring Jess Glynne and alongside Katy B on KDA’s ‘Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)’. His previous chart-topping singles are ‘Pass Out’ (2010), ‘Written In The Stars’ featuring Eric Turner (2010), ‘R.I.P’ with Rita Ora (2012), ‘Tsunami (Jump)’ with DVBBS & Borgeous (2014) and ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ with Cheryl Cole (2014).

Tinie Tempah shot to prominence in 2010 when his debut single ‘Pass Out’ and his debut album ‘Disc-Overy’ both went straight to #1. Numerous awards followed, including Best Breakthrough Act and Best Single at the BRITs; Best Newcomer at the MOBOs and an Ivor Novello for Best Contemporaty Song – all of which underlined his status as one of the most important artists of his generation. His second album ‘Demonstration’ reiterated his powers as it entered the charts at #3

Tinie’s high profile live shows have included the closing ceremony of the Olympics; every major festival from Coachella to Glastonbury; as well as supporting the likes of Jay-Z, Usher and Rihanna. In addition, Tinie famously high-fived none other than Prince William at 2014’s BAFTAs, while his fashion credentials were underlined when he was named Best Dressed Man at GQ’s Men of the Year Awards and later selected as an ambassador for the London Collection Mens.

Tickets are on-sale from 9am on Friday 22nd January priced at £28.50 (subject to per-ticket charge plus order processing fee) and are available HERE
