Andy Mooney, Fender CEO in Glasgow Event
Andy Mooney, Fender's current CEO, will be in Glasgow on 19th July for a unique event at Saint Luke's, sharing his experiences as the head of one of the world's most iconic guitar manufacturers.
Musicians, especially rock guitarists, are known for being in love with their instruments. Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Keith Richards are just a few rock stars who favour Fender guitars.
Andy Mooney became Fender’s CEO in 2015, after a career in executive positions at Nike, Quiksilver and Disney. Andy personally envisioned and spearheaded the launch of the monumental Disney Princess Franchise, which was recently valued at over $4 billion.
Growing up in Whitburn, Andy lived in a house filled with music. His father played piano daily and encouraged him to pick up an instrument; the guitar called to him. Inspired by the legendary Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple, he immersed himself in woodshedding, playing in multiple bands. By the time he joined Fender, his impressive collection encompassed nearly 50 guitars, most of them Fender.
Tickets for this fantasic event are only £5 and can be purchased from Entrepreneurial Scotland.
