Y NOT 2020 line up revealed! Richard Ashcroft, Royal Blood, Craig David TS5, Bombay Bicycle Club, Rag'n'Bone Man and more

Y NOT Festival

Y Not Festival returns in full force for 2020! With a mix of music’s newest stars and treasured legends, this year’s bill is set to go down in Y Not history. Brighton-based rock duo Royal Blood will take to the stage on Saturday 25th July. They smashed onto the scene in 2014 with their iconic self-titled record, including hit single Figure It Out, and have since gone on to win multiple BRIT Award, Kerrang! and Q Awards. Bring it on!
The legendary Richard Ashcroft is our Sunday headliner and will be bringing 30 years’ worth of hits to the Y Not stage. Rising to prominence in the early 90s as frontman for the seminal band The Verve, Ashcroft has since carved out a very successful solo career. To date he has scored five top 10 albums and he’ll bring a mix of new and old on the final day of Y Not - including his latest album ‘Natural Rebel’.
Flying the flag for R&B and UKG lovers is none other than renaissance man Craig David. His resurgence over the last 5 years has shown no signs of slowing down. Armed with a bevy of classics like ‘Fill Me In’ and ‘7 Days’ in addition to more recent hits ‘When The Bassline Drops’, Y Notters can expect an energetic TS5 DJ set combining everything from dance anthems, 90s R&B to Garage and Bashment bangers.
Bombay Bicycle Club continue their reunion activity this summer for their debut Y Not appearance. Having just released ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’, their first album in six years, hardcore fans are in for an exciting treat. After a period of time focusing on solo endeavours, the band is returning to the live circuit where they will no doubt smoothly pick up where they left off. Welcome back, lads!
Rag’n’Bone Man shot to success in 2016 and has the fastest-selling debut album by a male artist of the 2010s. With a cracking voice that gives classic soul belters a run for their money and an eclectic sound, fusing rock, blues and Hip-Hop, Rag’n’Bone Man is the definition of an authentic artist. His rise to prominence has been epic, earning three BRIT awards and praise from Gorillaz and Calvin Harris along the way.
The iconic names on the bill are endless - from rap royalty Eve to the universally acclaimed indie outfit Sundara Karma, the euphoric Annie Mac, punk veterans Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls and the quirky Lucy Spraggan. They are joined by The Zutons, DJ Fresh, DJ Yoda, Dinosaur Pile Up, Jade Bird, Futureheads, Terrorvision, Dream Wife and many more to round out one of the biggest music festivals in the North. More artists to be announced, including Thursday and Friday headliners.
Y Not organisers have said “It’s officially Y Not time again! Each year, we have found that the atmosphere and line-ups have continued to get bigger and better. This year is hands down going to be one for the books - see you there.”

They add, "This year, in order to help the planet and the beautiful Peak District, we’re planting a tree for everyone who attends Y Not Festival, and that includes our fantastic 2020 line up!
We’re delighted to announce Richard Ashcroft and Royal Blood as headliners by giving them their own trees - plus we have Bombay Bicycle Club, Rag'n'Bone Man, Levellers, Eve, Annie Mac and many more.

The thousands of trees planted will help us develop a more sustainable future - and now, these amazing acts are rooted in Y Not’s history in more ways than one."

Entertaining adults and children of all ages, Y Not Festival has established Derbyshire as a musical hub of its own, hosting acts from all genres since 2005. An environmentally conscious festival too, Y Not works to implement initiatives helping the planet, planting trees for every person who attends as part of their #TeamTrees initiative. This year, they have named a select few after the 2020 artists! Read more about #TeamTrees here: https://ynotfestival.com/teamtrees/
