HANSON
One Band, 5 Albums, 5 Consecutive Nights in London

HANSON TO CELEBRATE RELEASE OF ACCLAIMED NEW ALBUM WITH CAREER SPANNING 5 NIGHT CONCERT SERIES 5OF5

SHOUT IT OUT RELEASED
JUNE 5th.
Pop legends Hanson return to the UK with a new album and 5 shows over 5 consecutive nights playing their 5 albums to date in their entirety.

It is 13 years since the brothers made history with their breakout single MmmBop, a phenomenon all over the world and one of the purest pop hits of the last 2 decades.  It was the first simultaneous #1 single in the UK and the US at the same time and 25 other countries.

Since then, the trio have trailblazed a route through modern music, forging an alternative career through their own indie label and internet promotion that proved the model for the music industry to come.  More importantly, they have grown into one the best pop/rock bands in the world, tirelessly touring and producing 5 great albums.

Taylor, Issac and Zac Hanson are all grown up and have earned huge respect for their live performances.  New York's highly respected Village Voice  was moved to name them "The finest straight up rock band in America."  U2's Bono just called them "genius"

Taylor's side project Tinted Windows featured the uber-cred line-up of Cheap Trick's Bun E. Carlos, Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger and Smashing Pumpkins' James Iha.

Recent activity includes a highly anticipated performance at the US South By Southwest (SXSW) festival and an impromptu livestreaming telethon to support the Japanese relief effort with the likes of Michael Stipe, The Boxer Rebellion, Alpha Rev, The Hours, Ozomatli and Ben Folds.

HANSON are pleased to officially announce the upcoming UK release of their acclaimed album Shout It Out, from June 5th on their own independent label 3CG Records (through Absolute via Universal). All formats of the album will have bonus content and a CD ‘media book’ special package for the physical album release.

Over a decade since their out-of-the-blue, soul-inspired brand of American pop-rock was introduced to the world  HANSON is in top form. Shout It Out which debuted at  #2 on the Billboard Independent Charts in the US last year, has received much critical acclaim - Billboard said that Shout It Out represents some of the band's "most soulful work ever committed to record, while NPR considered the album “a career highlight for HANSON”.

The increased groundswell shared by the band’s devout fan base and new fans alike began last year, lead by the success of the US debut single “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’,” and it’s clever and infectious video which paid homage to classic film The Blues Brothers, garnering over three million views online and climbing into the top 10 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown as well as being named one of the top 5 dance videos of all time by MTV.com.

Shout It Out is a collection of finely crafted, R&B-flavored pop-rock, a homage to the music that inspired HANSON when they started out. The album, produced and written exclusively by the band, is augmented with special guests: Funk Brothers bassist Bob Babbitt, who played on some of Motown’s greatest hits and horn arranger Jerry Hey, who worked with Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Earth, Wind and Fire and many more.

In coordination with the album release, the band is also staging their 5-night concert series for UK fans, 5of5 London which features each of the band's studio albums performed in their entirety climaxing with the live premiere of the new album. The concerts will be staged from June 5th-10th. Tickets for the 5of5 London are on sale to the public now on GigsandTours.com

Additional special packages, including entry to an intimate conversation with the band “The Story: How The Music Was Made”, are only available at the band’s website, Hanson.net  Each night, the band will share a detailed account of the creative process while making each album, highlighting anecdotes from their vision, struggles and victories with each album.
