CORRIE! At Regent Theatre, Stoke

Corrie! Is a brand new play specially commissioned by ITV to celebrate Britain's longest-running and most-loved soap. It had its UK premiere at the Lowry, Salford in August 2010, where it opened to rave reviews and sell-out audiences, and is now on a major UK tour.

The show comes to Stoke-on-Trent’s Regent Theatre from Monday 6 to Saturday 11 June 2011.

This is your chance to relive those magic moments from 'the Street' - hear the recent ominous rumbling of a runaway tram coming over the viaduct, watch Tracy kill Charlie, see Alan Bradley meet a gruesome end, Todd kiss Nick and Gail marry Brian, Martin, Richard and Joe!

A funny and affectionate romp through five decades of The Street, Corrie! is written by award-winning playwright and Coronation Street scriptwriter Jonathan Harvey (Canary, Beautiful Thing, Closer to Heaven, Gimme Gimme Gimme) and directed by Fiona Buffini (The Two Gentlemen of Verona - RSC, Dinner - National Theatre and West End, The Playboy of the Western World - National Theatre and 39 Steps - West Yorkshire Playhouse and West End).

A stellar cast includes a Corrie legend at every performance. Stepping onto the theatrical cobbles in Stoke is Gaynor Faye who played Judy Mallet in the hit soap.
