Review: Shlomo "Mouthtronica" - E4 Udderbelly Festival London

Date: 1st May
Time: 6pm
Duration: 1 hour

Shlomo, doing his first one man show, is currently the Loopstation World Champion.
He brings the art of human beatboxing to a whole new level in his fantastic show "Mouthtronica".
Interacting with his audience, Shlomo took us through the "10 rules of Mouthtronica", explaining the skill from the basic beat that everyone tries (you know you have!), to microphone techniques, and other skills involved.

It is fascinating to watch and hear, and amazing to see that all the sounds are produced from the voice, doing all instruments such as Bass, Drums, Trumpets and more.

The Loopstation gadget he uses, with great effect, is a fantastic and skillful way to develop the songs, using layers of vocal instruments, along with delays and reverbs from a vocal effects box to help enhance the sounds.

Using an extra mic on his throat to grab the bass sounds that sometimes get away, Shlomo had the seats rumbling to the sounds of various styles of music, from Jazz to Rave!

With a guest appearance from Heidi Vogel, who was found on twitter prior to the performance, the improvised song was interesting to hear... I believe it can be downloaded from Shlomo's website today with proceeds to charity.

A great hours entertainment in the surroundings of the purple Udderbelly cow on London's Southbank, grab the chance to see the master of this art while you can.

You will be daft to miss it!
