Panic over, he’s back! Everyone’s favourite grumbling funny man and star of BBC2’s Mock The Week, Andy Parsons returns to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival after 5 years for a limited nine-night only run of his fantastic show, Gruntled.

After successfully touring Gruntled around the UK this spring to much critical acclaim, Britain's foremost topical comedian will take to the stage at Assembly Hall from 20th – 28th August at 9pm for more logically rigorous, pain- tinged comedy. Expect the usual clever politically inspired bemusements and disappointedly crushed enthusiasm. There will be some shades of light and dark with several trademark passionate tirades and a little peak behind the showbusiness curtain. Coalition, cuts, comedy and discovering a pair of underpants in a jar of mayonnaise.

Andy has enjoyed huge success as a writer and performer on television and radio as well as on stage. As well as Mock The Week (BBC 2) & Live At The Apollo (BBC 1), Andy released his debut stand-up DVD Britain’s Got Idiots through Universal Pictures (UK) which went on to air on BBC2 in 2010.

Andy’s radio credits include 9 series of Parsons and Naylor (BBC Radio 2), Never Write Off The Germans (BBC Radio 2) Scrooby Trevithick (BBC Radio 4) and The PMQ Show (BBC Radio 5 Live). Andy will continue to tour Gruntled around the UK this autumn. He will also release his second stand-up DVD this November through Universal Pictures (UK).
