YOU ME AT SIX have been named as Future Flames Ambassadors by Coca-Cola, a presenting partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, to help launch a nationwide search for inspirational young people – Future Flames – to carry the Olympic Flame during the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay next summer. YOU ME AT SIX and Coca-Cola will be calling on everyone across the UK to nominate the ‘Future Flames’ they know: young people who use their passion in areas like sport and physical activity, music and dance, and community and the environment; to spread happiness in their local communities.
Since the release of ‘Hold Me Down’, YOU ME AT SIX have enjoyed a rush of landmark events. First was the 2010 Kerrang! Awards where they won ‘Best Single’, which was soon followed by their main stage debut at the Reading and Leeds festivals. That year, the band played two nationwide tours; which reached a combined audience of 65,000 people. YOU ME AT SIX’s famously adrenalized live shows have cemented their growing reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting bands – as they gear up to prepare for their third album, they look set to reach another massive peak.
