This Christmas Richmond Theatre is delighted to present the ultimate rags-to-riches fairy tale, Cinderella. With romance and magical adventure at its heart this perfect pantomime is the ideal festive treat for all ages.
From the producers of last’s year’s “Pretty Much Perfect Panto” (The Times, 2010 on Sleeping Beauty), Cinderella is guaranteed to wow the whole family with the same mix of stunning sets, glittering costumes, wonderful songs, dazzling dancing, and hilarious family friendly comedy.
Jenny Eclair makes her Richmond Theatre Pantomime debut as the most coveted pantomime character of them all: the Fairy Godmother. The award winning comedienne, novelist, actress and star of Grumpy Old Women and Loose Women, will bring her unique style and humour to the role in this traditional family pantomime.
Jenny will be joined by the legendary Gary Wilmot, as Buttons and Kellie Shirley, as Cinderella.
Gary has enjoyed an extensive career in comedy. television and musical theatre and is probably best known for his stage roles in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Me and My Girl as well as his many pantomime appearances.
Kellie is best known for her role as 'Carly Wicks' in the BBC's EastEnders as well as her role in The Office Christmas Specials playing 'Kym' opposite Ricky Gervais. Kellie’s film work includes the blockbuster Wimbledon
and she also featured in Paolo Nutini's Pencil Full of Lead music video.
Complete with Ugly Sisters and an enchanted coach and horses Cinderella is the magical adventure in which an ordinary girl is transformed into a royal princess through the power of her prince’s true love. Your princes and princesses won’t want to miss seeing whether Cinderella makes it to the ball, meets her handsome prince and if The Ugly Sisters get their just desserts.
