Review: Twin Atlantic – The FREE-ZE Tour – O2 Islington Academy

Tues 29th November - 8pm

Scottish Rock Band ‘Twin Atlantic’ performed last night to a sold out O2 Islington Academy. Since nabbing a Top40 album spot earlier this year with their album ‘Free’ this band just keep going from strength to strength. Having just returned from the USA leg of their tour they are definitely ones to watch for 2012.

Last night’s academy had an impressive turnout and the band gave a great live performance – even though they were one member short. There are some amazingly catchy guitar riffs and their sound worked in a live gig setting (although vocals were somewhat lost).  There was definitely a feeling that we were witnessing a band with potential, and while it may be early days I believe they have a very exciting future ahead of them.

Already they have appeared with some massive names – Blink 182, My Chemical Romance and The Gaslight Anthem to name a few.  With their next single “Free” scheduled for release on December 19th, Twin Atlantic is a name that we should all get used to hearing about.
