NIKKI ZILLI to replace JOSIE GIBSON as Caroline in Up4aMeet? at London's Waterloo East Theatre
Actress, model and singer-songwriter NIKKI ZILLI will be replacing Josie Gibson to play the role of Caroline in the production opening in September.
Nikki will be supporting Dancing on Ice’s MATT EVERS at London’s Waterloo East Theatre.
Joining them will be recent Big Brother star BENEDICT GARRETT and graduate MARC GEE-FINCH in the play directed by Drew Baker (#searchforatwitterstarLIVE [The Lyric Theatre, West End], Children of Eden [Prince of Wales, West End]).
The hilarious adult comedy ‘Up4aMeet?’ is a naked comedy that tells the story of three gay men, who spend their lives on an online dating website.
Unlucky in love, Grant (Matt Evers) enlists the aid of his friend Caroline (Nikki Zilli) to take some nude pictures that might enhance his online dating profile. His flatmate Costas (Benedict Garrett), a Spanish nudist, has endless success with the site and even his neighbour, with the Shirley Bassey fixation appears to get a fair share of the virtual action.
What happens when Grant falls in love with a handsome stranger? How does Julian end up NAKED, wrapped in clingfilm ... and is getting a shag really like ordering a pizza?
Nikki Zilli is an experienced actress, model and singer-songwriter who has appeared in two feature films, graced international catwalks and received a variety of press recognition over the years. Nikki’s strong work ethic and drive has enabled her to take part in many exciting ventures and she has just secured a lead role in a new British Gangster Movie which is due to film later this year.
Nikki was a pupil at the world famous BRIT school whose former pupils include Adele, Jessie J and Leona Lewis. It was here she excelled in all areas of performing arts and developed a passion for acting. However, her ambitions to act were put aside at the age of 16 when she was scouted by top London model agency, which changed Nikki’s life indefinitely. She got to travel the world and work on high profile campaigns such as DeBeers, D&G, Alexander McQueen and Versace, as well as walking the catwalk for London Fashion Week on numerous occasions and gracing the covers of several fashion magazines.
She made her acting debut in The Mean Machine which starred Vinnie Jones. This was quickly followed by an appearance in the James Bond classic, Die Another Day, which starred Halle Berry and Pierce Brosnan. Opinionated and outspoken, Nikki is a natural in front of the camera and exceptional at improvisation, and is looking to expand into comedy acting. Her most recent TV exposé came in May 2011 with her primetime ITV documentary Home Is Where The Heart Is, which saw Nikki and husband Aldo take a homeless man into their home and turn his life around completely.
Aside from Nikki’s love of acting, she also has a strong passion for singing and has been lucky enough to work with many big names such as Andrew Lloyd-Webber and his producer, Nigel Wright. She is a talented songwriter herself and continues to write music when inspired.
Needless to say, Nikki is a keen businesswoman with acute business acumen. By the time she was 21 she was investing her money in property and has been buying and selling houses ever since. Adding to her property portfolio, she now shares a beautiful home in south London with Italian husband and celebrity chef, Aldo Zilli, with whom she has been able to develop her entrepreneurial flair not only in their home but also by being involved in the development of their own range of organic baby and toddler food called Baby Zilli, which can now be seen on the shelves of Tesco and Waitrose nationwide.
Nikki juggles her work with being mum to two children, Twiggy Agnese, 3, and Rocco Brian 6, along with extensive charity work. After sadly losing her father in 2001 to bowel cancer Nikki has since been working very closely with Bowel Cancer UK and Breakthrough Breast Cancer to raise awareness and support for these charities. She hosted a gala event for the Red Cross in South Africa and raised over £40,000, and also performed two songs to a celebrity audience for Help A London Child, which raised £20,000. She further took part in a major new Fairtrade Cotton Foundation campaign to open the eyes of the British fashion industry, modeling alongside Lisa Snowden and Mischa Paris, working with renowned photographer, Trevor Leighton.
Nikki and husband Aldo have now both become ambassadors for the children’s charities, Variety Club UK and Caudwell Children. They recently appeared on BBC1’s Pointless quiz show in March 2012 for a celebrity special episode and raised £1000 for the Caudwell Children’s charity.
