Dora The Explorer LIVE!
Apollo Theatre
29 August 2012: The hit kids TV show, ’Dora The Explorer’ graced the stage of the Apollo in ‘Search for the City of Lost Toys’. Colourful scenery provided a backdrop for the places Dora and her friends explored in their quest to find all the toys they had lost.. The starry sky was particularly effective and the audience had great fun waving their stars that were given out prior to the performance.
There were plenty of opportunities for audience participation and the laughter and enthusiasm from a preschool audience was just lovely to be a part of. My two year old niece found it particularly enjoyable and spent most of the time off of her seat, dancing, singing and responding to the characters. She was also particularly interested in the special program that was full of activities and opened into a large poster of Dora and the gang.
This performance was full of energy and the colourful characters made the television program come to life. Whether or not you are a fan of the TV show, you are in for an afternoon of fun and this show would be a real treat for any little person.
