Gig Review: Little Belter starring Elouise - Madame Jojo's ✭✭✭✭✭

Little Belter
Madame Jojo's

So what do you get when you cross a small beautiful lady with a supremely fabulous powerful voice? You get Elouise starring in her show Little Belter. And what a belter of a show this is.

Starting out at her dressing room mirror with the backstage rush and getting ready, Elouise has pictures of one of her many idols and icons on the mirror, Judy Garland. Telling stories of how she was little, she was always singing, and even then had a loud singing voice, the songs are interspersed with video clips from her younger days in various dance costumes and roles. The show is written by novelist and record producer Terry Ronald, part of the creative team behind the West End sensation, The Hurly Burly Show.

Singing many songs throughout this two hour long extravaganza, and lots of costume changes, Elouise shows off her incredibly impressive vocals. In act one alone, Live and Let Die stood out amongst the myriad of treats arranged by Steve Anderson, along with Could It Be Magic and Enough Is Enough.

Elouise and her singers - Rhiannon and Bonita don't just stay on the stage, they spill out into the audience, making conversation with you, and if you are as lucky as I was, you may get picked upon and asked all sorts of questions, and referenced throughout the show - this is all good fun and a great laugh, very enjoyable having a song sung to you.

With Scott on piano and an appearance of a fireman, this show is pulling out all the stops, and at the top of act two, they really do Get The Party Started, and Elouise's powerhouse vocals make you go WOW when you hear The Winner Takes It All.

Little Belter, just awesome!
